Here's why: A young child in today's St. Louis Public Schools is going to be

tomorrow's adult, business owner,
a mother, leader,
a father, teacher,
voter, the driver next to you on the road,
employee, the fan in the next seat

and most of all, a St. Louisan just like you.

Read on and discover how one child and one mentor can change the world for the better.

We believe that. Do you?

One child.
One day at school.
One bus ride home.
One night.

One child.
One mind.
One body.
One life.

One city.
One community.
One world.

Since 1995, Mentor St. Louis has grown to become the largest school-based mentoring program in the region and represents the largest single group of volunteers in the St. Louis Public School District.

Our program reaches out to children as early as kindergarten, and offers school staff and parents or guardians another resource to ensure that students embrace a positive learning experience about their schoolwork, about themselves, about their heritage, about their community, about their world.

Mentor St. Louis currently offers mentoring at eight elementary schools in the most challenged neighborhoods of St. Louis, providing one-to-one relationships through over 900 volunteer mentors.

Mentor St. Louis has two aims: to educate and inspire.
Because we believe that once you understand what we do and why we do it - you'll be inspired to get involved. Support Mentor St. Louis with your donations. Support Mentor St. Louis by recommending a mentor, or by becoming a mentor yourself.
